With Gov't Deadline Looming, AAP Outlines Public Access Plans

In compliance with a White House directive, members of the Association of American Publishers this week submitted its plan for a pilot project to make federally-funded research available to the public. Dubbed CHORUS (Clearinghouse for the Open Research of the United States) AAP officials call their plan “a framework” endorsed by some 70 signatories, including the American Institute of Physics, American Physical Society Elsevier, and Wiley.
