6. SPARC Resources for Students
On July 23rd, SPARC and the Right to Research Coalition held the 4th Annual North American Student Summit on Open Access, which brought together members of the student coalition's steering committee for an in-person meeting to discuss new ideas and chart a course for the year ahead.
Also this month, the Right to Research Coalition is participating in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations Bi-annual Meeting to raise awareness about Open Access among the international medical student community. IFMSA, which represents 1.2 million medical students in 98 countries and joined the coalition in January, and its national member organizations have been and will continue to be great partners in getting students from around the world involved in promoting Open Access.
